ABOUT Chocolate Bottle Cake RECIPE

A yummy and attractive cake that I made especially for my kids.

Ingredients Serving: 0

  1. chocolate compound - 1/2 KG
  2. coca cola 2 ltr bottle cut into 1/2
  3. maida 220 gm
  4. 1 tbsp baking powder
  5. 2 tsp Corn flour
  6. 15g cocoa powder
  7. 250 g castor sugar
  8. 270g soft unsalted butter
  9. 4 large eggs
  10. 3 tbsp buttermilk
  11. 2 tbsp beetroot juice
  12. 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  13. 3/4 tsp soda
  14. 1.5 tsp apple side vinegar
  15. chocolate 1 cup
  16. Fresh cream 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. First melt the chocolate using double boiler method and cover bottle inside nice in 1 mm thick layer. Now let it set in the fridge.
  2. Sift all the dry ingredients including sugar.
  3. Add softened butter, eggs and mix for one minute.
  4. To the buttermilk, add the beetroot juice and vanilla extract and mix thoroughly and pour all of this into the batter and whip for 30 sec.
  5. Add the soda to the vinegar, then pour it into the batter give it a fast blast for 30 sec and mix it with hand using spatula.
  6. Now line a greased baking tin and bake this batter on 170 deg for around 30-35 min or till toothpick comes out clean and let it cool.
  7. Now make ganache, heat the cream and pour it over 1 cup of chocolate. Cover it and let it melt.
  8. Now mix it properly and let it cool and set for 1 hr approx.
  9. Now take out set chocolate bottle from fridge.
  10. Cut the cake in slices around 2 inch round slices.
  11. Put in the bottle, first ganache, the cake slices, then ganache and then again the slice till it is full. At last, put a thin slice of cake and above it pour melted chocolate to cover finally.
  12. Let it set in fridge for some time.
  13. Now take it out from fridge, remove the outer layer of plastic from the cake using a very sharp knife. Be careful you should not break the bottle.
  14. Now put a cap and put the level and your bottle cake is ready.
