Gulab Jamun

Ingredients to make Gulab Jamun

  • 1 cup Milk powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup APF
  • 1 tsp sooji
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • oil to fry
  • To make sugar syrup:
  • 2 Cups water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4tsp cardamom powder

How to make Gulab Jamun

  1. First make the syrup by boiling all the ingredients given for 10 minutes without stirring. Set it aside.
  2. Mix in APF, sooji & baking powder. Add in egg and make a dough out of it. Make balls out of it & deep fry.
  3. Remove the cooked jamuns & throw it in the sugar syrup. Make sure the syrup is warm but not hot.
  4. After soaking if you want the jamuns to be too soft, simmer it in the syrup for 5-8 min.
