ABOUT Chocolate Malai Sandwich RECIPE

Everyone must have tasted the famous Bengali sweet malai sandwich but here is a new twist for chocolate lovers.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 lit - Cow milk, 1/2 tsp - juice of lemon
  2. 1/2 cup - sugar, 1 1/2 cup - water
  3. 1/2 tbsp - cornflour
  4. For filling - 1 1/ tbsp - melted dark chocolate
  5. 1 1/2 tbsp - paneer,1 tsp - powder sugar
  6. 1 tbsp - milk powder, few drops of vanilla essence

Instructions

  1. Prepare paneer from milk, take the paneer on a plate, add cornflour and mix it with the help of your lower palm till you get a nice smooth dough like consistency. Do not over mix it.
  2. Now divide the dough in 6 to 7 lemon size balls. Now to give a sandwich shape press the ball you will get a flat round. Cut the four sides to get a square shape. Keep 1 1/2 ball aside for filling.
  3. Now in a pressure cooker add sugar, water and let it come to a boil, once it starts boiling add the square pieces and close the lid and cook till 5 whistles.
  4. Now open and transfer it in a bowl and let it cool down completely. Remove the pieces from sugar syrup by slightly pressing it. Cut the pieces from middle and keep it aside.
  5. Now in a small mixer jar add all the ingredients of filling and churn it.
  6. Now fill the mixture between the sandwiches and decorate it with melted chocolate and keep in the fridge for 2 hours. Your Chocolate Malai Sandwiches are ready to serve.
