Again a lip smacking treat for your tea time! I have grown up eating it as it's healthy as opposed chips, crisps and candies, etc.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 cups fox nuts (Makhane)
  2. Salt to taste (Vrat ka namak if fasting)
  3. Black pepper powder to taste
  4. 3-4 tsp ghee (clarified butter)

Instructions

  1. Cut the Makhane (foxnuts) into half and set them aside.
  2. Heat ghee in a wok, add the halved Makhane.
  3. Add more ghee if needed, makhane absorb a lot of ghee and can become very crisp.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper powder.
  5. Keep tossing the Makhane in the pan until crispy and crunchy.
  6. They remain crisp for almost an hour.
  7. Serve with tea or just snack on them when ever you please!
