Kesar Phirni

Ingredients to make Kesar Phirni

  • Basmati rice 100gm
  • Whole Milk 2 l
  • sugar 200 gm
  • kesar 1 tsp
  • nutmeg powder 1 tsp
  • cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • almond flakes 1 tbsp
  • pistachio flakes 1 tbsp

How to make Kesar Phirni

  1. Soak Basmati rice in water for 2 hours.
  2. Drain the water from the rice, now grind in mixture, add milk if required.
  3. Boil the milk on gas with slow flame, add rice paste, sugar & kesar, stir continuously.
  4. When the Phirni becomes thick, turn the gas off.
  5. Bring the Phirni to room temperature.
  6. Pour them in the clay pots. Keep them in fridge for 1 hour.
  7. Decorate the Phirni with almond & pistachios flakes.

My Tip:

You can make many variations by adding fruit pulp in last & make fruit phirni.
