Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Toor Daal - 1 Cup
  2. Onion - 1 Chopped finely
  3. Green Chilly - 2 nos (Finely chopped)
  4. Garlic - 5-6 cloves crush it
  5. Ginger - 1 inch piece chopped finely
  6. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  7. Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
  8. Cummin Seeds - 1 tsp
  9. Ghee as required
  10. Red Chillies - 3 break in 1 pieces
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Kasuri methi - 1 tsp
  13. Coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Boil daal in pressure cooker until 2 whistles.
  2. Heat non stick pan, pour some ghee, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and allow it to splutter. Add onion, green chillies, garlic, ginger and red chillies, fry until it turns brown in color.
  3. Add Kasuri methi and little coriander leaves and fry for another 2 mins.
  4. Remove from fire and pour this tadka in boiled daal.
  5. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or chapatis.
