ABOUT NUTTY OATMEAL COOKIES RECIPE

An all time favourite. Healthy, delicious cookie which you will always fill in your cookie jar.

Ingredients Serving: 15

  1. 1/2 cup - Butter
  2. 1 cup - Brown sugar
  3. 1 - Egg
  4. 1 tsp - Vanilla extract
  5. 3/4 cup - All purpose flour
  6. 1/2 tsp - Baking Powder
  7. 1/2 tsp - Ground cinnamon
  8. Pinch of salt
  9. 1 1/2 cups - Oatmeal, crushed or powdered
  10. 3/4 cup - Mixed nuts of your choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degree C.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. With the mixer on low, add in the eggs (one at a time) and beat well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla also.
  3. Sift the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix well. Add the oats as it is, crushed or powdered as you like. Add the chopped nuts and mix until just combined.
  4. Using an ice-cream scoop or a tablespoon, drop small balls of dough onto a sheet pans lined with parchment paper. Flatten them with your hand or with a fork. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
