Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Katla fish 4 pieces
  2. Mustard seeds 3 tbsp
  3. Whole cumin 1 tsp
  4. Curry leaves 10 to 12
  5. Salt according to taste
  6. Green chillies 5 to 6
  7. Sugar 1/2 tsp
  8. Oil 1 cup
  9. Kalonji seeds 1/2 tsp
  10. 1 cup Water

Instructions

  1. Take 4 pieces of raw fish and wash. Dry it and then rub salt and turmeric powder on it.
  2. Put oil in a kadai. Fry the fish pieces and keep aside.
  3. Make a smooth paste of mustard seeds, jeera, green chilli (only 1), 2 or 3 curry leaves, salt and little water.
  4. Take the previous kadai with oil and again make the warm the oil. Add kalonji seeds, rest of the green chilles and rest of the curry leaves. Fry it and then add the paste. Add 1 cup of water and mix it. Let it boil. When bubbles will come then add the fried fish pieces and again boil it for 5 to 6 mins. Add sugar and mix. Serve with hot rice.
