ABOUT Eggless chocolate cake with Ganache (Super moist cake using Condensed milk) RECIPE

I have tried so many egg less chocolate cake recipes but this one gives me the best results. Its such a moist and yummy cake. Try it and you will love it. Recipe adapted from a very talented lady Nazneem Shamnad. Whats special about this cake for me is that I made it for our Anniversary! ! :)

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. cocoa powder 1/2 cup
  2. All purpose flour 2 cups
  3. condensed milk 1 can of 400 gms
  4. Butter softened 200 gms
  5. Water 1 cup
  6. Sugar 2 tbsp
  7. Vanilla essence 1 tbsp
  8. Baking soda 1 tsp
  9. Baking powder 2 tsp
  10. A pinch of coffee powder
  11. For ganache :
  12. Whipping cream 250 gms
  13. Dark chocolate 150 gms
  14. Milk chocolate 100 gms
  15. Unsalted butter for glaze 1 tbsp
  16. Coffee powder a pinch

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven at 180 degree celsius . Grease a cake tin and keep aside
  2. Sift the dry ingredients together i.e. flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and baking powder).
  3. In another vessel take the condensed milk, water, essence and butter and microwave on high for a minute. Take it out mix well and add sugar and mix.
  4. Add flour mix slowly to this wet mix in 3 parts. Mix slowly to get a smooth batter. Do not over mix. Add coffee.
  5. Pour the batter in greased tin and bake for approximately 40 mins. Let it cool then .
  6. Now for making the ganache - take a pan add the whipping cream and heat till warm.
  7. Immediately add the dark and milk chocolate and coffee powder and put the flame off and let it melt.
  8. Mix well until smooth and add butter. Refrigerate for few hours and then apply on the cake.
  9. You can slit the cake using a thread and apply the ganache in the centre and top.
  10. Decorate using sprinklers or almonds etc.
