Ingredients to make Butter Besan Ladoo

  • 3 cup chic pea flour
  • 2 cups tagaar(for making tagaar you will need 1.5 cup sugar ,4 tsp water and 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup butter.
  • 1 cardamom

How to make Butter Besan Ladoo

  1. First we will make tagaar
  2. For tagaar heat a heavy bottomed pan and add in sugar and water and cook till it forms a thick syrup. When syrup is thick add ghee and cook till the mixture looks white in color.
  3. Switch off the gas.Stir this mixture continuously till the syrup is transformed into powder.
  4. Let this cool completely and when cooled add it in processor along with cardamon and make a fine powder.
  5. 1 cup of sugar will yeild exactly 2 cups of tagaar which is good to make one batch of ladoo's.
  6. Now will start Ladoo making process. In a pan melt butter in low flame and add in chickpea flour.
  7. Fry it till it's golden brown . Once golden brown sprinkle water. When we do this the butter , flour mixture will froth up, let the mix cook till the froth vanishes.
  8. By this time the chickpea flour will be nice and golden brown. Remove it in plate and let it cool completely.
  9. Once cooled completely add tagaar and star making ladoo's.
  10. Store them in an airtight container and relish as and when required.
