ABOUT Eggless Mawa Cake RECIPE

A super moist, soft and delicious tea time cake.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup Maida/APF
  2. 1/2 cup sugar (increase the quantity if you want)
  3. 3/4 cup fresh khoya/mawa (not dry)
  4. 3 tbsp oil
  5. 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  6. 1 tsp Baking powder
  7. 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  8. 1/2 to 3/4 cup milk or as needed to make batter runny

Instructions

  1. Powder the sugar. Keep aside.
  2. In a bowl, take mawa. Beat it using a whisked wire or electric beater.
  3. Add sugar, beat again for a minute. Add oil and cardamom powder, mix.
  4. Start adding sifted flour, baking soda and powder. Mix everything properly with a light hand.
  5. Add milk if the batter is very thick ( we want a thick yet flowing consistency). Bake for 35 minutes in a preheated oven at 180°C.
