ABOUT Kajukatli RECIPE

Kajukatli is one of the most famous sweets in India and made during festivals.. Also known as kaju burfi.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Cashew nuts 1 cup
  2. Sugar 1/2 cup
  3. Water 1/4 cup
  4. Ghee for greasing

Instructions

  1. Powder the cashews in a mixer and make fine powder.
  2. Sieve the powder .
  3. Place a pan over medium flame, add water and sugar.
  4. Turn the flame to low heat and stir the sugar.
  5. Cook the sugar syrup for just few seconds.not need any thread consistency.
  6. just dissolve the sugar in water.
  7. Add in prepared cashew powder.
  8. Mix the mixture on low flame.
  9. Cook the mixture and check the consistency.
  10. Transfer the dough to a mixing bowl.
  11. Consistency must be dough able to form a ball.
  12. few drops of ghee or oil on hands and start kneading the cashew mixture till the mixture turns to smooth dough.
  13. Now take a butter paper or greased plate and roll the dough with rolling-pin.
  14. Cut the dough into diamond shape.
  15. Kaju katli is ready to serve.
