Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. all purpose flour--2cup
  2. mixed soak dry fruits - 1 & 1/2 cups
  3. sugar - 1 cup
  4. eggs - 3
  5. cinnamon powder - 1/4 tsp
  6. caramel sugar 4 tbsp
  7. water - 1/2 cup
  8. butter or oil - 3/4 cup
  9. baking powder - 1& 1/2 tsp
  10. vanilla essence - 1 tsp
  11. Sugar powder for dusting
  12. 1 Cup brandy (any brand)
  13. 1 tsp baking soda


  1. Soak mixed dry fruits in 1 cup brandy.
  2. I took plum, figs, walnut, almond, dates, raisins (black and green), cashew nuts and tutti fruity. Soak for 4 days or even longer for better taste.
  3. Heat a pan, add sugar, when it melts and becomes brown. Add water. Keep aside. (Caramel Sauce)
  4. Mix sugar, oil and eggs in a blender and mix to make it smooth. Add vanilla essence.
  5. Sieve flour with baking powder & baking soda. Gradually add in the wet mixture made alternating with the caramel sauce.
  6. Add the dry fruits and nuts and mix well until well combined
  7. Pre heat the oven at 180°C, bake in center of the oven for 50-55 minutes start checking the cake from 45 minutes. Check with a skewer inserted in center and comes clean.
  8. When done, cool on a wire rack. And serve after dusting it with powdered sugar.
