Ingredients to make Kansaar

  • 1/2 cup small broken wheat
  • 1/3 cup plus 2 tbsp jaggery
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts of your choice
  • 1 tbsp ghee
  • 2.5 cups water
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom Powder

How to make Kansaar

  1. mix 12 tbsp ghee in the broken wheat and keep aside
  2. boil the water and add the jaggery
  3. once the jaggery is melted, add the broken wheat and cardamom powder
  4. stir occasionally. once half the water is evaporated, add the nuts, cover with lid and cook on low flame.
  5. the water will get soaked up and the wheat will swell. turn off the gas at this time and add 12 tbsp ghee on top.
  6. serve and share
