ABOUT Chocolate Maida Burfi RECIPE

Maida and chocolate, an awesome combo to create magic. Our very own desi fudge combined with the ever famous chocolate.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. All purpose flour or maida 1/2 a cup or 110gm
  2. Water 3/4 th cup
  3. Sugar 100gm.
  4. Cardamom powder a tsp
  5. Pistachios slivered 2 to 3 tbsp
  6. Ghee or butter 2 to 3 tbsp
  7. Cocoa powder 2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Heat the ghee and roast the flour in it.
  2. Keep stirring it on low to medium flame so that it doesn't change the colour too much. It should be light in colour only but there will be a nice aroma emanating in your kitchen.
  3. Meanwhile make a one string consistency sugar syrup while your flour is getting roasted side by side.
  4. When the aroma becomes stronger, it means you are done with the roasting.
  5. It will take around 15 mins.
  6. Add cocoa powder and nuts at this stage and give it a good mix again.
  7. Add the sugar syrup and mix it well. It becomes a solid mass in about a minute or so and starts leaving the sides of the pan.
  8. Switch off the flame and transfer this to a greased dish.
  9. Let it cool down in the fridge for about 20 mins keeping it well covered.
  10. Next is to cut into desired shapes and enjoy.
