Ingredients to make Dhokla

  • 1 cup fine sooji
  • 1&1/2 cup curds
  • 1tsp oil
  • 1tsp jeera
  • 8to10 curry leaves
  • 1tsp urad dal
  • 1pk eno soda
  • salt to taste
  • 4to 5 green chillies slit

How to make Dhokla

  1. In a bowl add curds, sooji mix nicely so there should be no lumps found, add a little water an mix
  2. It should be of medium consistency
  3. Then add oil, salt, mix well , then finally add eno soda an mix well
  4. Then grease the plate with oil and then pour the mixture an tap it little
  5. Steam it for 10mins
  6. Then in another kadai add oil, fry jeera, curry leaves, green chillies slit, urad dal , when it starts to crackle an change color u can off the gas
  7. Pour this mixture to the steamed dhokla an spread it all over
  8. Then cut into pieces an serve

My Tip:

You can make dhokla with bengal gram flour too. You can add sugar syrup if you wish too .
