Ingredients to make Badam Katli

  • almonds 1 cup
  • Milk 2 tablespoons
  • sugar 3/4 cup
  • ghee 1 teaspoon
  • cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • saffron strands 1/4 teaspoon
  • water 1/2 cup

How to make Badam Katli

  1. Soak the almonds in hot water for 45 minutes to 1 hour .
  2. Soak some saffron strands into the milk for 5 to 10 minutes .
  3. Then take it out from water and peel off the almonds skin .
  4. Take out the excess water of the almonds with the help of kitchen napkin .
  5. Make a fine powder of the almonds in a grinder .
  6. In a deep neck non stick pan add sugar and water .
  7. Keep stirring till the sugar dissolves .
  8. After that add the almonds powder and mix everything properly .
  9. Add the saffron milk and mix it well .
  10. Add ghee and cardamom powder and mix it well .
  11. Keep on stirring the mixture till it stop sticking the pan .
  12. After that remove it in a greased plate .
  13. Spread it on a tray with a help of spatula .
  14. Spread finely chopped almonds on the top and dab them down .
  15. After few minutes when the mixture will cool down a bit cut it down into a square pieces .
  16. Now let the badam katli set for 30 minutes .
  17. After that take out the badam katli very carefully and serve it to your family and friends .

My Tip:

You can add condense milk in the place of milk . In that case you need to reduce the amount of sugar.
