Oats kesari

Ingredients to make Oats kesari

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 Cup Rava
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Cups water
  • 6 tbsp ghee
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom Powder
  • 1/4 cup cashewnuts
  • Pinch orange food color

How to make Oats kesari

  1. In a pan, add sugar ,water, cardamom powder and food color and bring it to boil.let it simmer
  2. Meanwhile another pan take ghee, let it melt.add rava, oats and cashews and roast it on low flame for 7-8 mins till it gets done.
  3. Add sugar water to this mix of rava and oats and mix well till it leaves the sides of the pan.
  4. Take out in a bowl, garnish with cashewnuts and serve hot.

My Tip:

There is no need to roast or powder the oats separately, it gets roasted with rava and gets soft on addition of water later.
