Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup makhana
  2. 1 and 1/2 cup curd, chilled
  3. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  4. 1 tbsp roasted cumin seed powder
  5. 1/2 tsp chat masala
  6. 2 tsp coriander leaves
  7. 2 tsp oil
  8. 2 pinch asafoetida
  9. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  10. 1/4 cup water
  11. Sugar and salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Dry roast the makhanas in a pan till they are crisp.
  2. Whisk the curd and water in a bowl. Then add all the spices, makhanas into the curd and mix it well.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, once hot add in the cumin seeds and hing/ asafoetida.
  4. Pour this tadka on the raita.
  5. Garnish it with chopped fresh coriander and serve.
