Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Fat Poha (beaten rice)- 300 grams
  2. Ground nuts- 300 grams (peeled)
  3. cashew nuts- 100 grams
  4. Almonds- 100 grams
  5. Raisins- 50 grams
  6. coconut - 50 grams
  7. oil - to fry
  8. spices Ingredients:
  9. salt - less than 1 tsp
  10. Black salt - 1/2 tsp
  11. Black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  12. Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
  13. Chat masala 1 tbsp


  1. Keep the poha in a plate and clean it well. Also check the peeled ground nuts for any impurities. Break the stems of the raisins. Cut cashew nuts into 2 halves and cut the coconut into thin strips.
  2. Pour the oil in a frying pan (kadhai) to fry the poha. After the oil is well heated, put half of the poha in it and lower the flame. After the poha becomes puffy, take it out on a plate, similarly fry the remaining poha.
  3. Put cashew nuts in the remaining oil, fry on a low flame till they turn light brown in colour, then take them out. Also fry the almonds on a low flame till they turn light brown in colour, then take them out. Similarly fry the ground nuts, then take them out.
  4. If there is any oil left over in the pan then take it out. On a lightly hot pan and a low flame, fry the coconut till it becomes light brown in colour, then take it out. (Mix all of these in a big plate.)
  5. To prepare the spices, mix black salt, plain salt, amchur powder, red chilli powder and chat masala in a bowl.
  6. Put all the mixed spices and powder in the namkeen and mix it properly.
  7. Dry fruit poha namkeen is ready! Once it cools off completely fill this namkeen in an air-tight container, then take it out and eat whenever you desire.
