ABOUT Healthy Sub Sandwich RECIPE

Relish this 2 minute sub-sandwich to satisfy the hunger pangs of your kids. A healthy 2 minute fruity veggie sub that is ready in a jiffy. Mind you, if you are a mother it's truly a 2 minute recipe as you have been used to managing quick stuff.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. A hot dog roll/ sub 6 inches foot long will do
  2. 1 big firm tomato
  3. 2 cheese slices
  4. 6 - 8 mushrooms
  5. 2-4 pineapple slices, or any choice of fruit
  6. 1 tbsp plain butter of choice
  7. 1 teaspoon mustard sauce
  8. 1 tsp black currant or any Jam/ Marmalade of your choice
  9. Few Lettuce leaves, fresh
  10. Salt to sprinkle, as per taste

Instructions

  1. Slit the hot dog roll in the center till midway but not entirely through. Then butter the roll both sides on the inside lightly.
  2. Wash the tomato and slice it well. Keep the pineapple slices ready in the fridge.
  3. Wash the lettuce leaves and pat dry them. Then place the lettuce leaves inside the buttered roll.
  4. Place some chopped mushrooms and sprinkle salt on top as per choice.
  5. Next place the cheese slices, now put in your pineapple slices.
  6. Slide in some jam all over, then slide in the tomatoes. Sprinkle little salt on top of this.
  7. Enjoy this 2 minute recipe!
