ABOUT Dry Coconut Chutney RECIPE

A chutney that goes well with bread dosas or rotis. It remains fresh for months in the refrigerator.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 3 dried coconut
  2. 2-3 tsp red chilli powder
  3. 25-30 pods of garlic
  4. 1/2 to 1 tsp amchur powder
  5. 1/4 tsp asafoetida powder
  6. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  7. 2 tbsp jaggery powder
  8. salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cut the coconut into medium sized pieces and blend/mince in a blender to form a coarse powder.
  2. Heat a little oil and add in the mustard seeds and asafoetida till it splutters. Make a powder form of this coarsely.
  3. Mix all the ingredients together and store in an airtight container.
