Vegetable Manchurian

Ingredients to make Vegetable Manchurian

  • Boiled potato- 1
  • Chopped garlic- 1 tsp
  • Chopped ginger- 1 tsp
  • Chopped green chillies- 2
  • Chopped onion- 1
  • Chopped vegetables (carrots, beans, spring onions capsicum)- 1/2 cup
  • Shredded cabbage - 1/2 cup
  • Refined oil as required
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp
  • salt as per taste
  • For the sauce:
  • Chopped garlic- 1 tsp
  • Chopped ginger- 1/2 tsp
  • red chilli sauce- 1 tsp
  • tomato sauce- 1/2 cup
  • Soy sauce- 2 tbsp
  • salt as per taste
  • sugar 1 tsp
  • Corn flour 1 tbsp
  • Refined oil as required

How to make Vegetable Manchurian

  1. To make the manchurian balls, heat a pan with some oil. Add in the chopped garlic, ginger and chillies.
  2. Once the aroma develops, add in the chopped onion. Fry till it turns translucent, then add in all the vegetables except the potato.
  3. Add salt and cook till they are mushy and done. Then keep it aside to cool.
  4. Add in the mashed boiled potato and corn flour to the cooked veggies, then make small ball shapes out of it.
  5. Deep fry these balls in hot oil.
  6. To prepare the sauce, mix the sauces together with a little water, salt and sugar.
  7. Heat a pan with a little oil, followed by the chopped garlic and ginger. Once the aroma develops, add in the sauce mixture. Stir it well, pour in water and bring it to a boil.
  8. Dissolve little corn flour in the water, add it to the sauce water in the pan and stir. Once it is thick enough, add in the fried balls and serve.
