ABOUT Dry Chilli Chicken RECIPE

This is an Indo-Chinese preparation that can be eaten as a starter or as a main course.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 500 gm pieces of chicken, cut into bite sizes
  2. Corn flour 2 tbsp
  3. Refined Flour 2 tbsp
  4. 1 egg
  5. Ginger-garlic paste 1 tbsp
  6. Few green chillies 2-3
  7. Vinegar 2 tbsp
  8. Soya sauce 2 tbsp
  9. Ajinamoto (optional) a pinch
  10. Chilli sauce 1 tsp
  11. 1 green capsicum, cut into cubes
  12. 2 onions, cut into cubes
  13. Chopped ginger-garlic 1 tbsp
  14. Chopped spring onions 1/4 cup
  15. Salt as per taste
  16. Pepper as per taste
  17. Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with ginger-garlic paste, chilli sauce, vinegar, soya sauce, salt, pepper for 2 hours.
  2. Before frying, add in corn flour, refined flour, 1 beaten egg and mix it nicely. Now shallow fry the chicken and keep it aside.
  3. In the remaining oil, add in the chopped ginger-garlic, capsicum and onions. Saute it for a few minutes.
  4. Then add in the remaining vinegar, soya sauce, chilli sauce, salt, ajinomoto, slit green chilies and the fried chicken. Mix it well.
  5. Garnish with some chopped spring onions and serve.
