Shredded Chicken with Capsicums/ Bell Peppers

ABOUT Shredded Chicken with Capsicums/ Bell Peppers RECIPE

This is a spicy and delicious chicken recipe with bell peppers. It can be served with plain rice, fried rice or noodles.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Boneless chicken 200 grams (cut into thin long strips)
  2. Capsicum/ Bell pepper 1 (cut into thin long strips)
  3. garlic paste 1 tablespoon
  4. Soy sauce 1 tablespoon
  5. Black bean sauce 1 tablespoon (you can replace this with dark soy sauce)
  6. chilli sauce 1 teaspoon
  7. tomato ketchup 1 teaspoon
  8. Ajinomoto a pinch (optional)
  9. corn starch 2 teaspoon
  10. salt to taste
  11. oil 3 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shredded chicken with 1/2 teaspoon garlic, soy sauce and a little salt.
  2. In a wok, add oil to heat, and saute the remaining garlic. Then add the chicken and stir fry.
  3. While frying, add in the black bean sauce, chilli sauce, tomato ketchup and ajinomoto. Be careful while adding salt as the sauces already contain salt.
  4. When it is 3/4th done, add in the bell peppers and let it simmer and cook. (You can use different coloured ones to make the dish colourful.)
  5. When almost done, dilute the corn starch in the water and add it to the chicken. (The consistency of the chicken depends on your liking, so add the water accordingly.)
  6. Serve it with some fried rice on the side.
