Spaghetti with Meatballs

Ingredients to make Spaghetti with Meatballs

  • Spaghetti 300 gm
  • water as required
  • salt 1/2 tsp
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • Meatballs Ingredients-
  • Beef minced 250 gm
  • garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • onion small sized chopped 1
  • salt 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder 1 tsp
  • Fresh coriander 1/4 cup
  • Paprika 1/2 tsp
  • Bread crumbs 1/4 cup
  • egg 1
  • Milk 1 tbsp
  • nutmeg powder 1/4 tsp
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • Sauce Ingredients-
  • tomato paste 1/2 cup
  • water as required
  • Tomatoes 2 (boiled, peeled and deseeded)
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • Oregano 1 tsp
  • salt 1 and 1/2 tsp
  • Black pepper powder 1 tsp
  • onion small sized chopped 1
  • garlic paste 1 tsp
  • sugar 1/2 tsp
  • vinegar 1 tsp
  • red chilli flakes 1 tsp
  • Dried parsley 2 tsp

How to make Spaghetti with Meatballs

  1. Boil water by adding salt and oil in it. Add in the spaghetti, let it boil and cook for 5-7 mins. Once boiled, drain and rinse with cold water, then set it aside.
  2. To prepare the meatballs, take the beef mince, garlic paste, onion ,salt, black pepper, coriander, paprika, bread crumbs, egg, milk, nutmeg powder and blend all the ingredients in the chopper till it is well blended.
  3. Make small ball shapes from this mixture and keep it aside.
  4. Shallow fry these balls in 1 tbsp oil on a low heat for 5-8 mins or until it's golden brown in colour. Set them aside.
  5. To prepare the sauce, heat oil in a pan. Once it's heated add in the onions and garlic paste, fry till the color changes.
  6. Now add in the tomatoes and mix well till they are mushy. Then add in the tomato paste and mix it well. Put in all the spices, salt , pepper, oregano, dried parsley, sugar, chilli flakes, vinegar and give it a good stir.
  7. Pour in water as per your desired consistency. Then add in the meat balls and mix it well, leave it for 5-7 mins. (Be careful so that the meatballs don't break.)
  8. To serve, add spaghetti in a platter, then pour in the sauce and meatballs. Finally sprinkle cheese of your choice and coriander on top.
