Mutton Curry

Ingredients to make Mutton Curry

  • mustard oil 4 tbsp
  • bay leaf 1
  • Green cardamoms 2
  • cloves 3
  • Whole dry red chillies 2
  • onion 4 small sized
  • ginger-Garlic paste 1 teaspoon
  • Meat masala 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander masala 1/2 tsp
  • cumin powder 1/2 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • salt according to taste
  • tomato 1 large sized
  • potato 3 medium sized

How to make Mutton Curry

  1. Heat oil in a pan, once the oil is hot, add in the bay leaf, red chillies, cardamom, cloves, dalchini, then put in the onions.
  2. Once the onion changes colour, put in the ginger-garlic paste and cook. Then add in the tomato and continue cooking.
  3. After stirring for a while, once the oil separates itself, put in the masalas and stir it again. Then add in the mutton and cook.
  4. Once it is half done, add the potatoes in it and pour in boiled water little by little till the desired quantity according to your taste.
  5. Cover and continue cooking till the meat is soft and tender.
  6. Serve it with freshly boiled rice for best taste.

My Tip:

If required, you can add 1 tablespoon of curd and raw papaya.
