ABOUT Chicken Noodles RECIPE

Flavorful chicken noodles prepared using over night marinated chicken pieces.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 300 gms Shanxi Sliced Noodles (Any noodles can be used)
  2. 2 tbsp olive oil
  3. 1 medium sized onion, sliced
  4. 1 cup shredded cabbage
  5. Salt to taste
  6. A dash of crushed pepper/ pepper powder
  7. Few finely chopped spring onion leaves
  8. For the Marination:
  9. 250 gms Chicken, boneless and cut into strips
  10. 1 medium sized green bell pepper, sliced
  11. 1 medium sized yellow bell pepper, sliced
  12. 1 medium sized red bell pepper, sliced
  13. 1 tsp 5 Spice powder
  14. 1 tsp soya sauce
  15. 1 tsp red chilli sauce
  16. 1 tsp green chilli sauce
  17. 1/4 tsp pepper powder
  18. Few basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients given in the 'For Marination' list and marinate it overnight.
  2. Cook the noodles in boiling water along with salt for 6 mins or according to the package instructions and keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add in the sliced onion. Saute till it turns translucent, then add in the shredded cabbage.
  4. Saute for half a minute and add in the marinated chicken mixture. Add the required amount of salt and continue cooking till the chicken gets cooked well.
  5. Once done, add the cooked sliced noodles and mix it well. (If the noodles looks dry, pour in a little pasta boiled water and toss it well.)
  6. Add in the crushed pepper or pepper powder according to taste buds and garnish it with spring onion leaves.
  7. Serve it hot.
