A yummy starter dish made from paneer.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Paneer cut in 1 inch cubes 200 grams
  2. Onion cut into 1 inch square pieces 1
  3. Capsicum cut into 1 inch square pieces 1
  4. Ginger chilli paste 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Garam masala 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  7. Chat masala 1 teaspoon
  8. Coriander 1 teaspoon finely chopped
  9. Gram flour 2 tablespoon
  10. Water to mix the gram flour
  11. Oil for frying
  12. Salt as per taste
  13. Wooden tooth picks few

Instructions

  1. Take the paneer cubes in a bowl. Sprinkle on top the 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder, 1/4 teaspoon garam masala, 1/2 teaspoon chat masala and salt. Mix it well and leave aside for 15 mins.
  2. In another bowl, take the gram flour, add in the coriander, ginger-chilli paste, remaining chilli powder, garam masala and salt. Add water to this to make a dropping consistency.
  3. Heat oil in a wok/kadai. Now take a toothpick, insert a piece of onion first, next a cube of paneer and lastly a piece of capsicum.
  4. Dip it well in the gram flour mixture and deep fry in the oil till it turns golden. Take them out on a paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
  5. Serve hot with any sauce or mint chutney.
