Ginger pepper Chicken

Ingredients to make Ginger pepper Chicken

  • chicken 500 gms
  • ginger juliennes 1 cup
  • green chillies 4 to 5(slit)
  • ghee 3 tablespoons
  • Black pepper powder 2/3 teaspoons
  • salt as per taste
  • Chaat masala
  • water 2 cups

How to make Ginger pepper Chicken

  1. Marinade the chicken pieces with 1tspn of salt,black pepper powder and juice of one lemon for at least half an hour.
  2. Start by adding ghee in a pan or wok and add 1tspn black pepper powder and half the ginger juliennes and saute for a minute.
  3. Now add the marinated chicken pieces to it and mix well.
  4. Add the remaining spices i.e black pepper powder,salt and chaat masala with a cup of water.
  5. Mix well and cook for about 10 minutes and see that the water has reduced.
  6. Now add the remaining ginger juliennes,green chillies and water and cover and cook till chicken is cooked.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve with chapatis.

My Tip:

Add a little more water and 50gms butter in the end if you want a thickish gravy.
