Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For the Koftas:
  2. Mutton mince (keema) 500 grams
  3. Fresh coriander leaves, chopped 3 tablespoons
  4. Green chillies chopped 4
  5. Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Red Chilli Powder 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Oil to deep fry
  11. For the gravy:
  12. Oil 5 tablespoons
  13. Onions chopped 3 medium
  14. Green chillies chopped 3
  15. Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon
  16. Cloves 2
  17. Black Cardamom 1
  18. Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  19. Fresh tomato puree 1 cup
  20. Red chilli powder 2 teaspoon
  21. Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  22. Coriander powder 2 teaspoon
  23. Salt to taste
  24. Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. To make the koftas, squeeze the water from the mince meat. Add in the coriander leaves, green chillies, cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  2. Make small round portions and deep fry them till they turn golden brown in colour and set them aside.
  3. To make the gravy, heat oil in a pan. Add in the onions, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, cloves, black cardamom and cumin seeds. Saute till the onions turn golden brown in colour.
  4. Add in the fresh tomato puree, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and salt. Saute till the oil separates itself from the mixture.
  5. Add 1 cup of water and cook it for 2-3 minutes. Add the koftas to the gravy and garnish it with coriander leaves.
