Eggless Sponge Cake

Ingredients to make Eggless Sponge Cake

  • 1 and 1/4 cup refined flour
  • 1/2 cup milk powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

How to make Eggless Sponge Cake

  1. Sieve the refined flour and milk powder in a bowl.
  2. Add in the ghee, milk and sugar in it and mix well in one direction to avoid forming lumps. Leave the batter for 15 minutes.
  3. Now add in the baking powder, baking soda and vanilla essence in the batter. Beat it well for 5 minutes.
  4. Now grease the cake mould. Pour the batter into the cake mould.
  5. Preheat the oven for 5 minutes at 180 degrees.
  6. Now bake the cake in the oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. Once cooked, let it cool at room temperature.
  7. Yummy and delicious cake is ready to eat.

My Tip:

The more you beat the batter more spongy it will become. You can also cook the cake in a pan or cooker (without the whistle) as well.
