ABOUT Tomato Chutney RECIPE

Tangy chutney cooked with fenugreek leaves.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 onion finely chopped
  2. 2 cloves Garlic finely chopped
  3. 2-3 green chillies finely chopped
  4. 3-4 tomatoes chopped
  5. Garam masala 1 tsp
  6. Ginger-Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  7. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  8. Chilli powder 1 tsp
  9. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  10. Oil as required
  11. Handful of Fenugreek leaves, finely chopped
  12. 2 tbsp Beetroot, grated
  13. Salt as per taste
  14. 1-2 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Pour oil in a deep bottomed pan, add in the cumin seeds and allow them to crackle, then add in the chopped garlic, onions, green chilli and saute.
  2. Now add in the beetroot and saute. Next add in the ginger-garlic paste and saute well.
  3. Now add in the garam masala, turmeric, chilli powder. Then add in the fenugreek leaves and saute it.
  4. Add in the tomatoes and saute, then add salt in it.
  5. Cover the lid and allow it to cook. Open the lid when it's cooked.
