ABOUT Schezwan Sauce RECIPE

It's a red chilli sauce which is Chinese, but it goes very well with any cuisines starters and snacks that can be used to make any Chinese main dish.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 100 grams Whole Red Chillies
  2. 100 grams peeled finely chopped garlic
  3. 100 grams peeled finely chopped ginger
  4. 2 tbsp sugar
  5. 1 tsp salt
  6. 1 tsp vinegar
  7. 1/2 tsp soya sauce
  8. 200 ml oil

Instructions

  1. Soak the whole red chillies in hot water for 3-4 hours. Grind the red chillies in a paste with soaked water.
  2. Heat oil in a wok and add oil to heat.
  3. Then add in the finely chopped garlic and cook it for 3 minutes.
  4. Then add in the finely chopped ginger and cook for 3 minutes.
  5. Next add in the red whole chillies paste and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Add in the salt, sugar, vinegar, soya sauce.
  7. Cook for 5 minutes on a low flame till the oil separates itself.
  8. Let it cool and fill it in a jar.
