Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Sago 1 cup
  2. Sugar 3/4 cup
  3. Water 2 1/2 cup
  4. Coconut, shredded or dry 1 cup
  5. Food colour 1 teaspoon of one colour or 1/2 teaspoon each of 2 colours

Instructions

  1. Heat water, add sugar, dissolve it, then put sago. Stir constantly, on low fire.
  2. If you use one colour, you can add the colour along with sago. Let it thicken. Still when you look, you will find white colored sago in the mixture. It will be cooked when we steam it.
  3. Then transfer it to another bowl and steam for 20 minutes. If you use 2 colours, when you put the mixture for steaming, transfer it to two bowls and add different colour in each one, stir well so that it reaches all sides.
  4. Then when cool, keep in the fridge for some hours.
  5. Cut into pieces. Roll in coconuts, before serving.
