Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Atta/Wheat flour - 1 cup
  2. Sugar - 1/2 Cup (for caramel)
  3. Sugar - 1/4 cup
  4. Unsalted butter - 7 tbsp
  5. Cinnamon - 2 inch stick
  6. Cardamom - 4
  7. Cloves - 5
  8. Fresh orange juice - 3/4 cup
  9. Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
  10. Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  11. Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  12. Mixed fruit jam - 2 tbsp
  13. A pinch of salt
  14. Raisins - 50 gms
  15. Fresh dates seedless - 1/4 cup
  16. Walnut/cashew and tutti frutti each - 1/2 cups

Instructions

  1. Take all dry fruits in a bowl. Melt butter and add to it and mix well.
  2. Take 1 tbsp water and 1/2 cup sugar in a thick bottom pan and melt till it becomes brown in colour and begins to caramelize.
  3. This will take approx 10 minutes. Take care as to not burn the caramel.
  4. Add this in the fruits. Let it cool. Take all spices and dry grind to fine powder. Add jam, orange juice, 1/2 cup sugar, salt, spice mix, vanilla essence to the fruits mixture.
  5. Mix well. Sieve wheat flour, baking powder and soda in a separate bowl and add to fruits mixture slowly. Mix well.
  6. Bake in microwave for 10-12 minutes on high. Let it cool, cut and serve.
