Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. One cup dry pea (yellow), overnight soaked
  2. 2 boiled potatoes
  3. 1 banana
  4. 1 cucumber
  5. 1 tomato
  6. 1 onion
  7. 2 green chilies
  8. coriander leaves
  9. 1-1/2 chaat masala
  10. 1 tablespoon salt
  11. red chili powder according to taste
  12. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  13. For Kulcha- 2 cup refined flour- maida
  14. 1/2 cup buttermilk
  15. 1 spoon instant yeast
  16. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  17. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  18. 1 tablespoon sugar
  19. 1/4 salt
  20. water

Instructions

  1. First boil, soaked yellow peas with turmeric and salt in a cooker or pan until a little mushy. In cooker give 4-5 whistles.
  2. In a big bowl add all ingredients of kulcha like refined flour(maida), salt, buttermilk, sugar, instant yeast, baking soda, baking powder add knead it with water of two or three steps in little sticky dough. Cover it with wet cloth and keep a side for 1- 1/2 hours.
  3. Knead again, if required use more water. Dough should be little sticky and keep it for 1/2 a hour.
  4. Chop all the veggies and fruit in small pieces.
  5. Mix veggies and fruit, chat masala, lemon juice, salt, red chili in chholas. Now chhole is ready.
  6. Preheat the oven on 170 degrees centigrade.
  7. Now make 8 small balls of dough. Spread by hand with the help of oil or by roller pin gently.
  8. Bake it for 12-13 minutes.
  9. Serve with chhola.
