Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Basmati rice 250gram
  2. Green peas frozen or fresh 1 cup
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Black pepper 1 Tbsp
  5. Cloves 4
  6. Black cardamom 2 no
  7. Cumin 1 tsp
  8. Finely chopped green chili 1 tsp
  9. Fried cottage cheese 2 tbsp
  10. Corn kennels 1/2 cup
  11. Ghee/clarified butter 1 tbsp
  12. Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp


  1. Wash and soak the rice for 1/2 an hour. Heat the ghee in a heavy bottom pan, add cumin, and all whole spices and crackle them.
  2. now add peas, corn, paneer, salt and black pepper powder, stir for 2 minutes, Add 1 glass of water and after one boil, turn the heat to low. cover and cook till done.
  3. Serve hot with raita.
