ABOUT Soya Matar Pulao RECIPE

Rice flavoured with green peas (matar) and soya chunks- healthy and tasty one pot meal

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Rice 1cup
  2. Onions 2
  3. Tomato1
  4. Soya chunks 12-15
  5. Green peas 1/3cups
  6. Fenugreek leaves 1/4cup
  7. Green chillies 2
  8. Spring garlic 2tbsp
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Red chilli powder 1tsp
  11. Turmeric powder 1/4tsp
  12. Garam masala1/2tsp
  13. Water 3cups
  14. Oil 2tbsp

Instructions

  1. Wash rice and soak for 15 minutes
  2. Soak soya chunks in water for 10 minutes
  3. Take a deep pan add oil add sliced onions to it
  4. Cook onions to a brown colour add tomatoes, fenugreek leaves, spring garlic, green chilli, sal,t red chilli powder and garm masala
  5. Add soya chunks and matar cook for few minutes
  6. Add rice mix well
  7. Add water and let it cook on high flame
  8. As water fully gets absorbed, lower the flame and cover the pan and cook for for 3-4 minutes.
  9. Turn off gas and serve hot pulao with chilled raita.
