ABOUT Spinach-Salami Double Cheese Grilled Sandwich RECIPE

These hearty sandwiches are not just filling, but they're also bursting with flavours and the creaminess of cheese. They're perfect for a quick snack and especially great for lunch-boxes.

Ingredients Serving: 3

Sandwich bread - 6 slices
Spinach - Chopped, about 250 gm
Tomatoes - 2, sliced into roundels
Salami slices - as per requirement (we had 5 on each bread)
Cream cheese - 4 tbsp
Cheddar cheese slices - 1 for each sandwich
Garlic Powder - 1 tsp
Chili flakes - a sprinkle
Butter - for grilling

Instructions

In a skillet, add a blob of butter, and the chopped spinach, and garlic powder. Just toss the spinach for a minute until it's slightly wilted. Do not add salt.
Let the tossed spinach cool. Now mix the cream cheese with the spinach and keep aside.
Apply butter on the slices on both sides.
Add slices of tomato, followed by the cream cheese-spinach mixture.
Place the salami slices on top of the spinach layer, and finally top with a slice of cheddar cheese. Cover the slice of bread with another buttered slice.
Grill on a pan, or toast in a sandwich toaster until sandwiches turn golden and crisp on each side, and the cheese is melted inside.
Slice into triangles, and serve hot.
