Chana Masala

Ingredients to make Chana Masala

  • black gram 2 cup( soaked before 5 hours)
  • onion medium size 4
  • green chillies 1 tsp
  • garlic paste 1 tsp
  • potato medium size 2
  • Mix Sabji masala 1 tbsp
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • mustard Oil 2 tbsp
  • cumin seed 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • water 100 ml

How to make Chana Masala

  1. Add oil in the pressure cooker and heat it.
  2. Add cumin seed when it crackling add ,chilli paste and garlic paste and saute for few seconds.
  3. Now add onion paste, sabji masala,turmeric powder and salt and fry it
  4. After few minutes add black gram,chopped potatoes and water and cook for few minute by covering it.
  5. Now close the cooker and turn off the flame after 2 whistles.
  6. Pack in the lunch box with puri or parantha

My Tip:

It can be eaten with puri, parantha or bread or with anything you want.
