Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Cooked rice - 2 cups
  2. Gooseberry - 10 small size
  3. Mustard seeds, urad dal, channa dal, jeera, curry leaves, green chilly, asafoetida powder
  4. Salt
  5. Finely chopped ginger
  6. sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Take two to three spoons of sesame oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, urad dal, channa dal, jeera, curry leaves, green chilly, chopped ginger and asafetida and fry till there is a good aroma.
  2. Add grated gooseberry and fry till the raw smell goes away
  3. Add cooked rice with required salt and mix well without mashing
  4. Garnish with cashew and curry leaves and serve hot
