Oats Khichdi

Ingredients to make Oats Khichdi

  • 1/2 cup dry roasted oats
  • 1/2 cup moong dal
  • 1chopped onion
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 1 cup chopped mixed veggies like peas,carrot,potato,cauliflower etc of your choice.
  • salt to taste
  • curry leaves
  • Whole jeera or cumin seeds
  • White oil
  • Whole red chilli

How to make Oats Khichdi

  1. In a pressure cooker heat oil
  2. Add curry leaves and whole red chilli.
  3. Then add cumin seeds
  4. As it splutters add chopped onion and ginger garlic paste.
  5. Then add the mixed veggies.
  6. Add chopped tomatoes
  7. Fry for sometime.
  8. Put salt
  9. Then add the oats and moong dal.
  10. Give a nice mix.
  11. Add water and close the lid.
  12. Pressure cook till two whistle.
