Make sugar syrup till 1 string. Allow it to cool sufficiently then add dried fruits like chopped cashew nuts, almonds, tutti fruity, cherry dates, plums and raisins and mix well .
Next day add 30 ml of rum as well as sprinkle sugar if required.
Keep the soaked fruits minimum for a week's duration, stirring everyday once with dry wooden ladle.
Sieve the flour along with baking powder and cocoa powder and milk powder.
Start mixing sugar and fat with egg beater or hand whisker and gradually add eggs one by one and beat till mixture becomes fluffy and sugar completely dissolves.
Now add liquid glucose, jam, plum and rum essence, rum, soaked fruits, caramel, cinnamon powder, salt and mix till thick consistency.
Now add the sieved flour to the above mixture and fold.
Pour the batter into greased moulds, level and bake at 180 Degree Celsius for 30 to 40 minutes or till done.
