Murg Pulao

Ingredients to make Murg Pulao

  • 1 cup Basmati rice
  • 250 gm chicken
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp haldi
  • Paste of 3 dried red chillies
  • 2 onions chopped
  • 3Tbsp oil
  • 12-14 flakes garlic
  • 2 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp fennel (saunf)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1" stick cinnamon
  • Seeds of 2 moti elaichi
  • 3 cloves
  • 8 peppercorns

How to make Murg Pulao

  1. Soak rice in 2 cups water for 30 minutes.
  2. For the paste grind all ingredients together, using some water.
  3. Mix chicken and the prepared paste in a big micro proof dish.
  4. Cover and microwave for 5 minutes.
  5. Add rice along with the water.
  6. Add salt and haldi.
  7. Cover and microwave for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Separate the grains with a fork.
  9. Serve after 5 minutes.
