ABOUT Almonds, Flax seed Chocolate Drink RECIPE

A healthy drink for my daughter when Doctor advised us about her allergy and listed us some food products that should not be given to her. I changed our entire food style based on her food menu. Almond / Badam and Flax seeds are one among in the doctor's list which she refused to eat so I decided to make something out of it that she may like. She loves this chocolate drink.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Health Powder-
  2. Cocoa powder - 1/4 cup
  3. Powdered jaggery - 1/4 cup
  4. Almonds - 20 pcs
  5. Pista - 15 pcs (optional).
  6. Flaxseeds - 1/8 cup.
  7. Health Drink-
  8. Milk -1/2 cup.
  9. Health powder - 2 tsp.
  10. Brown sugar or Jaggery - 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Dry roast almonds and pista in low flame till slightly brown. Remove them to a plate and let it come to room temperature.
  2. Dry roast flaxseeds also on a low flame for one minute, remove them to a plate and let it come to room temperature.
  3. Now in your food processor ( mixie ) add almonds and pista and pulse once or twice to grind them to a fine powder ( always grind only in pulse mode to avoid oil leaving out from almond). Transfer to a wide vessel.
  4. Same way grind flaxseeds also to a fine powder and add to the almonds powder.
  5. Add cocoa powder and jaggery in your processor and grind for 30 seconds . Take them to the vessel and mix everything.
  6. Sieve everything together and grind the residing lumps again and sieve.
  7. Same way sieve thrice or more to ensure everything is ground to fine powder and mixed evenly.
  8. Store them in an airtight container and serve when required.
  9. Health Drink: Heat milk in a sauce pan and when milk foams up , remove from heat
  10. Add 2 tsp of health drink powder to hot milk, sugar ( if required) and stir well.
  11. Let the milk rest for 5 mins so that the taste blends with milk completely. Enjoy hot milk and refrigerate it to enjoy cold chocolate health drink.
