ABOUT Mawa, Jaggery and Coconut Patishapta RECIPE

It is a famous bengali dessert , it is made on every special occasion and on festivals . Normally it is made with either coconut and jaggery or, mawa and jaggery , but I have combined both mawa , coconut and jaggery , and it turned out very tasty.

Ingredients Serving: 0

  1. Coconut 100 gms
  2. Jaggery 50 gms
  3. Water 100 ml
  4. Milk 50 ml
  5. Cardamom powder
  6. Refined flour 100 gms
  7. Semolina 50 gms
  8. Rice flour 3 tbsp
  9. Ghee 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Make jaggery syrup first , boil water , add jaggery
  2. Now strain it , no impurities should be there
  3. Now heat a nonstick pan , add coconut and jaggery syrup
  4. Stir continuously for 10 -12 mins
  5. Add mawa
  6. Add cardamom powder
  7. The mixture should be moist but not dry. Switch off the gas
  8. After 5-6 mins make oblong shapes like this
  9. Now make the batter , mix rice flour , suji and flour , water and milk without any lumps , keep aside for 30 mins
  10. Heat a nonstick pan , add little oil or ghee , spread it with the help of spoon
  11. Put 3 tbsp of batter
  12. Spread it with spatula
  13. Add stuffing
  14. Fold it immediately with spatula or spoon
  15. Continue to follow the steps until the batter is over
  16. Serve hot or cold
  17. Garnish with condensed milk
