Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 100 grams Tamarind
  2. 1- 2 big pieces of Jaggery
  3. 1tsp kashmiri chilli powder
  4. 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  5. 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1 tbsp Blanched chopped almonds
  8. Few raisins

Instructions

  1. Soak the Tamarind for 5-10 min
  2. Mash well and strain out the pulp
  3. To this add chilli powder
  4. Now add salt
  5. Add cumin powder
  6. Add pinch of garam masala
  7. Mix all well
  8. Lastly add Jaggery scraping with a knife into the tamarind pulp
  9. Transfer contents into a pot, cook the mix slowly stirring on low flame
  10. Mix and keep stirring till done
  11. Cook till it starts getting little sticky
  12. Add raisins now
  13. Turn off the heat and let it cool.
  14. Garnish with blanched chopped almonds
  15. Serve cold.
