ABOUT Honey Chilli Potato RECIPE

Crisp potato fingers glazed with honey chilli sauce. A delicious starter/appetizer.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250 gms Potatoes sliced into fingers
  2. 1 tsp garlic paste
  3. 2 tsp red Chilli sauce
  4. 3 tbsp Cornflour
  5. 1 tbsp Rice Flour
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Oil for deep-frying
  8. 1 tbsp Oil
  9. 1 tbsp finely chopped Garlic
  10. ½ tsp ginger paste
  11. Chilli flakes as desired
  12. 2 tsp Vinegar
  13. 2 tbsp honey
  14. 1tsp Sugar
  15. For Garnishing-
  16. 1 tbsp finely chopped Coriander
  17. 2 tbsp finely chopped Spring onions

Instructions

  1. Combine the potatoes, garlic paste, red chilli sauce, cornflour and salt in a deep bowl, mix gently.
  2. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan, and deep-fry a few potato fingers at a time till they turn crisp and golden brown in colour from all the sides. Drain over absorbent paper. Keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the garlic and ginger and sauté on a medium flame for a few seconds. Add the chilli flakes, the remaining 1 tsp of red chilli sauce and vinegar, mix well and cook over medium flame.
  4. Now, add the honey, sugar and little salt, mix well and cook over medium flame for 1 minute.
  5. Combine the deep-fried potato fingers and the prepared sauce in a deep bowl and toss well.
  6. Serve immediately garnished with coriander and spring onion greens.
