Butter Cookies

Ingredients to make Butter Cookies

  • 200 grams flour
  • ĵ teaspoon baking powder
  • 200 grams butter
  • 300 grams sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract

How to make Butter Cookies

  1. Preheat the oven at 220 degree Celsius. Prepare a baking sheet and set aside.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar till light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes with a hand mixer. Add the egg and vanilla essence and whisk for another minute or two.
  3. Sift the flour and baking powder together and add to the wet mix and use a wooden spoon to combine it all.
  4. Use a ladle or ice cream scoop to drop a scoop at a time on the prepared cookie sheet. Leave a space of 2 inches for cookies to spread.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or till firm and light brown.
  6. Serve warm alongside milk or tea as desired.

My Tip:

You can also add nuts to this recipe to make cashew butter cookies
